Error connecting to server

Hello, I am testing the moodle mobile app against our moodle test server running version 3.0.5+ on linux.  I have installed

Moodle Mobile additional features v. 3.0.312

 to provide additional functionality.  When I test using a Galaxy Tab 3 tablet I keep encountering an Error _> Error connecting to server.  The action selected still appears to work but the popup error appears.

If I try to access my production moodle site without the Moodle Mobile additional features it works without error.  How can I try to debug?
